Fall 2010 Training Season

The Fall 2010 Training Season will begin in June and we’re currently registering runners in Denver, Hartford and Washington, DC. Runners can participate in the Wilson Bridge Half Marathon on September 19 in Washington, DC; the ING Hartford Marathon on October 9 in Hartford, CT; the Rock ‘n’ Roll Denver Marathon on October 17, or the Marine Corps Marathon on October 31 in Washington, DC.

We are also working on updating this web page so we can better communicate with you throughout the year.

TEAM M4M DC Completes Marine Corps Marathon

TEAM M4M Washington DC completed the Marine Corps Marathon today 25 October 2009. 24 runners accomplished the task while raising over $36,000.00 for Melanoma Research Foundation.

Athletes Clinic Saturday 30 May 8 a.m. Georgetown Running Co.

Plan on attending the TEAM M4M Athletes Clinic at Georgetown Running Company, M Street, Washington, DC 8:00 a.m. followed by a 3 mile team run. Receive tips on injury prevention, proper shoe recommendations, and running and walking techniques. Participants will receive a 20% discount on merchandise at Georgetown Running on the day of the clinic.

TEAM M4M is proud to announce that TEAM M4M Washington D.C. has just completed the inaugural TEAM M4M marathon! 17 individuals committed to making a difference crossed the finish-line in Philadelphia on 23 November 2008! Way to go!

TEAM M4M raised over $110,000.00 for Melanoma Research Foundation and melanoma research!

TEAM M4M

Charity training program TEAM M4M joins Running USA.

TEAM M4M (Miles for Melanoma), created by Kevin Stenstrom and Kendel Paulsen in conjunction with the Melanoma Research Foundation, provides a team training approach to the MRF’s national Miles for Melanoma program, which aims to raise melanoma awareness and funds to support promising medical research. As a member of TEAM M4M, participants benefit from an extensive training program led by seasoned marathon coaches and build camaraderie with other runners through team training. Funds raised are donated to the MRF’s Research Grant Program. Initiating the program around the 2008 Philadelphia Marathon, TEAM M4M aims to add additional marathons to its training program in order to help runners across the country train on behalf of melanoma research. The program kicks off on June 14 with the first team being created in the Washington DC area including Northern Virginia and Maryland. More information may be found at www.melanoma.org.
